TRUST GOD ONE DAY AT A TIME! &
“PRAY WITHOUT CEASING! ”

Never let anything so fill you with sorrow as to make you forget the joy of the Christ risen...Mother Teresa

BELIEVE
To believe is to know that every day is a new beginning. It is to trust that miracles happen, and dreams really do come true.To believe is to see angels dancing among the clouds,To know the wonder of a stardust sky and the wisdom of the man in the moon.To believe is to know the value of a nurturing heart,The innocence of a child’s eyes and the beauty of an aging hand, for it is through their teachings we learn to love.To believe is to find the strength and courage that lies within us.When it is time to pick up the pieces and begin again. To believe is to know we are not alone,That life is a gift and this is our time to cherish it.To believe is to know that wonderful surprises are just waiting to happen,And all our hopes and dreams are within reach. If only we believe.

St. Ignatius of Loyola

Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty, my memory, my understanding, and my entire will, All I have and call my own.

You have given all to me. To you, Lord, I return it.

Everything is yours; do with it what you will. Give me only your love and your grace, that is enough for me.

A Memo From God

Date: Today
From: God
Subject: YOURSELF
Reference: LIFE

I am God. Today I will be handling all of your problems. Please remember that I do not need your help. If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours. Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now.

- If you find yourself stuck in traffic; Don't despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.

- Should you have a bad day at work; Think of the man who has been out of work for years.

- Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; Think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.

- Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children.

- Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; Think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.

- Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; Think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.

- Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.

- Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; Remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them!

God gives us hope. His love and understanding is ever present if only we believe. I can say I believe and though I have a far way to go spiritually I know things will be better if we have faith and trust in him. He gives us no more than we can bear. I just thank God for loving us just as we are.

Just wanted to stop by and tell you thank you for all of your prayers for us and all the nice comments you made on my blog. Yeah - Ike is gone! Now we just have to clean up after him!

Wonderful words. One of the places that I teach fitness at is our church. This morning a lady and I were talking. She has 'shapely' legs she is trying to 'shrink'. I have 'slender' legs I am trying to 'bulk' up. Then I said "... but God gave me so 'n so to personal train..." 'so 'n so' is an MS patient who is losing her ability to walk. It shamed us both to complain of the vanity of our legs when we can run, walk, skip, etc and a friend is now in a power chair or hoverround.

I teach again tomorrow. I need to print this off and use it for our devotion. Thanks! And thanks for your kind words on my blog. I have you on my bloglines. Though I am not sure if I like it better than a blog roll.
