TRUST GOD ONE DAY AT A TIME! &
“PRAY WITHOUT CEASING! ”

Never let anything so fill you with sorrow as to make you forget the joy of the Christ risen...Mother Teresa

BELIEVE
To believe is to know that every day is a new beginning.It is to trust that miracles happen, and dreams really do come true.To believe is to see angels dancing among the clouds,To know the wonder of a stardust sky and the wisdom of the man in the moon.To believe is to know the value of a nurturing heart,The innocence of a child’s eyes and the beauty of an aging hand,for it is through their teachings we learn to love.To believe is to find the strength and courage that lies within us.When it is time to pick up the pieces and begin again.To believe is to know we are not alone,That life is a gift and this is our time to cherish it.To believe is to know that wonderful surprises are just waiting to happen,And all our hopes and dreams are within reach.If only we believe.

St. Ignatius of Loyola

Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty, my memory, my understanding, and my entire will, All I have and call my own.

You have given all to me. To you, Lord, I return it.

Everything is yours; do with it what you will. Give me only your love and your grace, that is enough for me.

My Love Affair With Thrift Shops

I love thrift stores. Its always a treasure hunt for me. I never know what I might find there. There is something delightful about finding something awesome at a thrift store…. I can spend hours in those places, I try to go as often as I can.
These pictures are from the Salvation Army near my house. I love this particular store, because they keep it very clean and inviting, and I always find something there.

Next time I will show some of the things I bought .

Finding Peace Through Happiness

Happiness is found in who you are, not what you do or how much you have. Happiness is a state of mind. Think happy thoughts, be happy. Think unhappy thoughts, be unhappy.
You can find happiness today if you only look. It’s right next to you. Happiness is found in the here and now, in the people who touch your life. Happiness cannot be seen with the naked eye. During trying times, happiness comes in the form of blessings in disguise — invisible to the naked eye.
No amount of money, possessions or ego gratification can bring you happiness. There is no such thing as the perfect car, house, job or person to make you happy. Peace of mind comes with the recognition that happiness is totally and unequivocally in your control. Like turning on a light to illuminate a darkened room, feelings of you and bliss are yours when you choose to turn on your inner light, which is forever charged and ready to shine.
Acts Of Happiness
Give yourself to others
Do something for yourself everyday
Make a friend
Be a friend
Smile in sadness
Renew your faith in God and know that you are blessed
Count your blessings
Find the blessings in disguise

Pink Saturday! Pink Color For Men?

Thanks to Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for hosting another fun PINK SATURDAY. So go and visit her blog at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/ and all the other participants to see what's new in their wonderful PINK world.

Came across a very good article on pink fashion for men. I just can't resist to reproduce this article in this blog to share with the rest of you.

There is something very much alluring about the pinks. This could be because, psychologically pink color is known for having a calmer effect. This could be also because pink compliments almost all skin tones, unless you have more of pink tone in your skin. A man wearing something in pink exudes complete confidence, although still sensitive. It could also be a simple fact that pink is quite easy to coordinate with most of the colors present in mans wardrobe. Pinks go well with tans, navys, greys, and some other hues of blue. If you are not yet convinced with how great pink looks, women too love pink and are likely to take a second glace at a man wearing pink. If the man in your life haven’t got any pinks as yet then you might consider trying it. You can incorporate this, pink, magical color to his wardrobe in various styles.

What doyou think? Will any man in your life wear pink? I ask my husband and sons, and they said, husband( maybe),son #1 ( it depend) , son #2 ( yes.)

Hopeful Friday

Do you believe in Angels? Are there people in your life who's like angels to you? You might open yourself up to receiving more miracles if you just believe, believe that you're not alone, that God is with you and he is sending His angels to guide and protect you. It's amazing what can truly happen, how your life can be so grand; when you give up trying on your own, and let God hold your hand.
The Bible says that God has appointed many angels to those who love God and call to Him, "Psalms 91:11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways."

If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. (Psalm 139:9-10
Today is Hopeful Friday hosted by The House In The Roses please go and visit Cielo and all the participants and get yours spirits lift by their beautiful posts.

The Rainbow Colors of Our Lord

The soul has no rainbow if the eyes have no tears.

God's Rainbow

The scripture Ezekiel 1:28 reads,
Like the appearance of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the brightness all around it. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD

Every time I see a rainbow, I see the colors of our Lord in all His creation.
The Red Rose of Our Lord's Love For Us.

The Orange Fruit of Our Lord's Spirit: Joy, Kindness, Faithfulness, Love, Self Control, Patience, Gentleness, Goodness and Peace.

The Yellow Light Of The Lord That Shines For Us.

The Green Grass That Leads Us Towards Spiritual Growth.

The Blue Water of Baptism That Cleanses Us Anew.

The Purple Flowers of Repentance and Forgiveness.

The Calming Scent of Lavender for Peace on Earth for All Mankind.

Pink Saturday!

Thanks to Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for hosting another fun PINK SATURDAY. So go and visit her blog at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/ and all the other participants to see what's new in their wonderful PINK world.

Today I’m sharing these two oil paintings that my mother painted.
I’m very lucky to have a mother with many talents, and one of them is that she is a wonderful artist.
I also hold dear my mother’s love and wisdom. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to treasure her positive attitude, her willingness to give to others, and her ability to get things done. But her best advice has to be ;
“It’s never a bad thing to have another glass of wine.”
So hear is toast to all of you.
May your mornings bring joy and your evenings bring peace
May your troubles grow less as your blessings increase!

Have A Happy Pink Saturday!

"Hopeful Friday"

Cielo from the House In The Roses is hosting another “Hopeful Friday”.
Go visit Cielo at
http://houseinroses.blogspot.com/ and all the participants, and join in celebrating God’s love and to read or post positive thoughts and inspirational messages.

Jesus said, "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Mt 6:34 .

I stopped worrying along time ago. Maybe somewhat concerned at times, but worry, not. Jesus gave this instruction for this reasons. No amount of worry will ever change the circumstance or the outcome of any problem.

ONE DAY AT A TIME
Our lives are made up of a million moments, spent in a million different ways. Some are spent searching for love, peace, and harmony. Others are spent surviving day by day.But there is no greater moment than when we find that life, with all it's joys and sorrows, is meant to be lived one day at a time. It's in this knowledge that we discover the most wonderful truth of all.Whether we live in a forty-room mansion, surrounded by servants and wealth, or find it a struggle to manage the rent month to month, we have it within our power to be fully satisfied and live a life with true meaning.One day at a time - we have that ability, through cherishing each moment and rejoicing in each dream. We can experience each day anew, and with this fresh start we have what it takes to make all our dreams come true. Each day is new, and living one day at a time enables us to truly enjoy life and live it to the fullest. ~Author Unknown

The Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next.Amen.
--Reinhold Niebuhr

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;in all your ways acknowledge him,and he will direct your paths.
Proverbs 3, 5-6

A Memo From God

Date: Today
From: God
Subject: YOURSELF
Reference: LIFE

I am God. Today I will be handling all of your problems. Please remember that I do not need your help. If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours. Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now.

- If you find yourself stuck in traffic; Don't despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.

- Should you have a bad day at work; Think of the man who has been out of work for years.

- Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; Think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.

- Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children.

- Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; Think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.

- Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; Think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.

- Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.

- Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; Remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them!

God gives us hope. His love and understanding is ever present if only we believe. I can say I believe and though I have a far way to go spiritually I know things will be better if we have faith and trust in him. He gives us no more than we can bear. I just thank God for loving us just as we are.

Pink Saturday!

Today I’m showing some thinks, I would love to have, I think they are very soft and pretty.
I can see myself laying down reading and relaxing on the beautiful chaise lounge, and I love the ottoman. Of course I think my husband will put his foot down and tell me enough To much pink for him. Oh well, it doesn't cost to dream.

I believe in pink. I believe laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in happiness. I believe that tomorrow Is another day. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe in miracles.

"Hopeful Friday"Prayer For Those Who Are In The Way Of Hurricane Ike

Cielo from The House In The Roses ~~ http://houseinroses.blogspot.com/ is hosting a "Hopeful Friday", to celebrate God's love and to make a chain of positive thoughts and inspirational messages. So join Cielo every Friday.
I decided to keep my post from Tuesday, because I'm still lifting my prayers to God to keep all safe from Ike.
I am adding special prayers to everyone that has had to deal with this major storm/hurricane and for what is in store .

O Heavenly Father, all the elements of nature obey Your commands, including hurricanes. Calm the storms that threaten us and turn our fear of Your power into praise of Your goodness.
Grant this through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever.
Amen.

“May God give you...For every storm a rainbow, for every tear a smile, for every care a promise and a blessing in each trial. For every problem life sends, a faithful friend to share, for every sigh a sweet song and an answer for each prayer.”

Enchanting Window Party

Cielo from The House In The Roses is sponsoring an "Enchanting Window Party". Go and visit Cielo at http://houseinroses.blogspot.com/ and visit all the participants that are showing there beautiful windows.

To me windows are like the windows of opportunity in life. Like in our homes we have many different ones to look at our world. There are times when windows of opportunity appear and for
whatever fear based reason, we decline to look through them. The thing to remember is that there are other windows. They may appear in a different emotional architecture but we somehow remember that windows are everywhere. To say you missed the only opportunity is like saying you missed your only chance to breathe. Another window is out there, waiting, whispering for you to look through its opening. Perhaps now is one of those times.

My house don't have many windows, it has mostly sliders.
But I love the view and the light that comes through them.

The windows of my soul I throw wide open to the sun.
John Greenleaf, My Psalm

I hope your dreams take... you to the corners of your smiles, to the highest of your hopes, to the windows of your opportunities, and to the most special places your heart has ever known.

"Let there be many windows to your soul, that all the glory of the world may beautify it"
Ella Wheeler Wilcox

When God Closes a Door, He Opens a Window.

Bless Sunday

Sometimes I read a passage in a book and those very words can be life changing.Here are some passages that have changed my life:

"...Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others..."
