TRUST GOD ONE DAY AT A TIME! &
“PRAY WITHOUT CEASING! ”

Never let anything so fill you with sorrow as to make you forget the joy of the Christ risen...Mother Teresa

BELIEVE
To believe is to know that every day is a new beginning. It is to trust that miracles happen, and dreams really do come true.To believe is to see angels dancing among the clouds,To know the wonder of a stardust sky and the wisdom of the man in the moon.To believe is to know the value of a nurturing heart,The innocence of a child’s eyes and the beauty of an aging hand, for it is through their teachings we learn to love.To believe is to find the strength and courage that lies within us.When it is time to pick up the pieces and begin again. To believe is to know we are not alone,That life is a gift and this is our time to cherish it.To believe is to know that wonderful surprises are just waiting to happen,And all our hopes and dreams are within reach. If only we believe.

St. Ignatius of Loyola

Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty, my memory, my understanding, and my entire will, All I have and call my own.

You have given all to me. To you, Lord, I return it.

Everything is yours; do with it what you will. Give me only your love and your grace, that is enough for me.

What is Christmas? It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace. ~ Agnes M. Pharo

Christmas Time Again

Well, it’s Christmas time again and I started getting ready, I am trying to be creative and do stuff that I can’t have to spend too much money on. I hope to have my home all decorated ,baking ,cards out ,etc by the middle of December. That is what I hope for, my intentions are always very ambitious but life has different ideas and sometime unexpected situations happened, and you need to adjust your plans.
What are you all doing to get ready for Christmas (or whichever holiday you may be celebrating at this time of year)? Whatever it is you do, I hope all of you have a wonderful, joyful time, filled with great fun and lots of love this holiday season.

Take time this Christmas season to go
A little way apart
And with the help of God prepare
The house that is your heart. ~~Anon.

Thanksgiving & Hopeful Friday

Today I'm posting my Hopeful Friday hosted by http://houseinroses.blogspot.com/
for Thanksgiving. And I want to wish you all a glorious day of gratitude for all the Blessings our God grant us each day.
Go and visit Cielo and all the participants, their beautiful posts will uplift and inspire you.

Be Thankful!
We can be thankful that the God of all creation extends to us grace, mercy and patience. He provides his grace, which is more than enough for us to make it through any hardship. His mercy is extended, where many times judgment may be warranted. He who loves us exercises patience and compassion, as he watches over our lives. He sees our flaws, weaknesses, struggles and yes, our sin and is still willing to show his goodness and help us in our times of need. He is also there to share all of the wonderful times that life has to offer us, all because of his blessings.

Be thankful that you don’t already have everything you desire. If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don’t know something, for it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times. During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations, because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge, because it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes. They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you are tired and weary, because it means you’ve made a difference.
It’s easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks.

“Holiday Mail Call” For Our Soldiers

Red Cross “Holiday Mail Call” Program 2008 Guidelines
The American Red Cross announce that it will sponsor a national ‚Holiday Mail Call‛ program in 2008 as it did in 2007! Last year the Red Cross reviewed and distributed over 600,000 cards to our wounded service members at hospitals around the country and overseas. This year they want to expand who is reached with the holiday greeting cards to include not only our wounded warriors, but all service members and their families, as well as veterans. Their goal is to reach 1,000,000 persons this year to show our appreciation for their service and wish them well over the holiday season and with your help they will!
Start Date of the Program: Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2008

Mailing Address:

Red Cross Holiday Mail Call
P.O. Box 5456
Capitol Heights, MD 20791-5456

The Guidelines below should be followed to enable a quick reviewing process as well as to ensure that cards are not offensive in any way to anyone who might receive one:

1. Please ensure all cards are signed

2. Please send cards as opposed to long letters which delay a quick review process
3. Please do not include e-mail or home addresses on the cards as the program is not meant to foster pen pal relationships
4. Please do not insert photos, money, religious articles (i.e.-rosary beads, prayer cards, etc), glitter, ‘snow’ or like items in cards as these items will be removed during the reviewing process.

Participants are requested not to send more than 25 cards from any one person or 50 cards from any one group.End Date of the Program: All cards must be postmarked no later than Wednesday, December 10, 2008

Phone cards or gift cards will not be accepted with cards. Those wishing to send calling cards or gift cards/certificates should go to:

www.aafes.com, scroll down to ‚AAFES Community Connection‛ and click on ‚Help Our Troops Call Home‛ or ‚Gift Cards/Certificates for Our Troops‛ in order to send such items .

No ‘Care Packages’ will be accepted at this address. Those wishing to send care packages should go to:
www.AmericaSupportsYou.com and click under ‚Home front Groups‛ to find out how to send care packages.

If we pass this on and everyone sends one card, think of how many cards these wonderful special people who have sacrificed so much would get.

Thanksgiving Wishes
On this Thanksgiving we owe our troops a tremendous debt of gratitude .Keep them in your thoughts and prayers on Thanksgiving and every day. Say a prayer of thanks, as well, for the families who have an empty spot at the table this Thanksgiving either because their loved one is serving or because they made the ultimate sacrifice .
And to you all an early Thanksgiving wish. I hope you all are able to get together with family. If not, I hope you are invited somewhere so you don't eat alone. Remember your loved ones who aren't around are with you always in spirit.

Here are some fun pictures of different shades of pink.

REMEMBER...The shortest distance between a problem and a solution is the distance between your knees and the floor. The one who kneels to the Lord, can stand up to anything.

Where there is pain, I pray you will have peace and mercy.
Where there is self-doubting, I pray you will have a renewed confidence in your ability to work through it.
Where there is tiredness, or exhaustion, I pray you will have understanding, patience, and renewed strength.
Where there is fear, I pray you will have love, and courage.

Gotta love those Hats!

I, for one, am certainly a lover of hats. Why? Merely because of several reasons. You can use them to cover up a bad hair day, great for shielding your head from the sun, and here in Florida, our sun really shines. And my favorite use is to decorate with them.

Here is how I decorate with some of my hats.....

So many hats and only one head!

Displayed as a group and they’ll have extra impact. ...

I also love anything to do with hats.

"When you wear a hat, it is like medicine for the soul. The hat is the expression of who you are as a women in every moment! The hat is your dreams of who you can be. It facilitates the different parts of who you are: With the wave of the hat, voila! You are mysterious...no, you are sexy...now proper...now playful.

PINK SATURDAY

Make your involvement in Cancer awareness an event that will not end when October does, so that one day, if not for us then for our children and grandchildren, there will be a cure for this horrible disease.
So, today I'm dedicating my Pink Saturday post to does affected by it, to their families, friends and Doctors for their love and support.

Laura Bush unveiled the White House, which is illuminated by pink lights in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month as seen from the North Lawn in Washington, DC, on October 7, 2008.

Please remember to get those checkups, mammograms, ultra-sounds and pelvic exam yearly. You are NEVER too young to be checked.

Celebrate the courage of every breast cancer survivor and supporter. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
