Living Just For Today…what does that mean.
To me is opening yourself to receive with thanksgiving all that God has for us daily, good or bad .
He has a purpose, is up to us to pray to discern what the Lord is calling us to do, what is His divine will for us… no easy task.
That is why prayer is so important. Prayer gives us direction.
I WILL PRAY JUST FOR TODAY TO
Trust God one day at a time!
Just for today! I will begin the day by praying: "This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." (Psalm 118:24)
Just for today! I will say, "I can do everything through Him who gives me strength." (Philippians 4:13)
Just for today! I will not worry about my needs, for "...my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19)
Just for today! I will not fear, "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity; but a spirit of power, of love, and of self-discipline." (II Timothy 1:7)
Just for today! I will not harbor doubt and lack faith, for "...without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." (Hebrews 11:6)
Just for today! I will not lack strength, for "...the Lord is the stronghold of my life - of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1)
Just for today! I will not admit defeat, for God "...always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ, ..." (II Corinthians 2:14)
Just for today! I will not lack wisdom, for, "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him." (James 1:5)
Just for today! I will not feel condemned, for "..., there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." (Romans 8:1)
Just for today! I will not be worried or frustrated: "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." (I Peter 5:7)
Just for today! I will not be depressed, "...for his compassion's never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." (Lamentations 3:22-23)
Just for today! I will not feel alone for Jesus said, "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:20)
Just for today! I will not be discontented, "...for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances." (Philippians 4:11)
Just for today! I will not feel worthless, for "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." (II Corinthians 5:21)
Just for today! I will not be confused, "For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace" (I Corinthians 14:33)
Just for today! I will not let the pressures of life bother me, when Christ said, "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)
Just for today! I will not feel like a failure, when "in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." (Romans 8:37)

My choices and commitment...
Lord, inspire me to live in such a way
that my choices each day
and my commitment to live in a positive way may transform
the negative into something positive,
and the ordinariness of daily life.
into something extraordinary. Amen.
that my choices each day

into something extraordinary. Amen.
Contentment
If we could see our Father's hand in all our circumstances and
Rejoice because we know He cares and wisely guides & answers prayers
We'd have no time for foolish fears.
If we could count in wonderment the many miracles He has sent
Both great and small, all lovely things: the daily stream of blessings He brings,
We'd have no time for murmurings.
If we could learn to trust and lean on our Father's love, we'd be serene,
Love and praise would sweetly blend and in heart's content that has no end,
We'd walk together - friend with Friend!
