Every day we have the opportunity to open our lives up to God and allow him to tune our hearts up in total unity with his own heart.
The Hymn writer had it right when he wrote the words....
Teach me Thy way, O Lord
Teach me Thy way, O Lord, teach me Thy way!
Thy guiding grace afford, teach me Thy way!
Help me to walk aright, more by faith, less by sight;
Lead me with heavenly light, teach me Thy way!
When I am sad at heart, teach me Thy way!
When earthly joys depart, teach me Thy way!
In hours of loneliness, in times of dire distress,
In failure or success, teach me Thy way!
When doubts and fears arise, teach me Thy way!
When storms overspread the skies, teach me Thy way!
Shine through the cloud and rain, through sorrow, toil and pain;
Make Thou my pathway plain, teach me Thy way!
Long as my life shall last, teach me Thy way!
Where’re my lot be cast, teach me Thy way!
Until the race is run, until the journey’s done,
Until the crown is won, teach me Thy way!
Benjamin M. Ramsey, 1919.
Thinking of everyone who is hurting right now because of the tornado.
I am saddened to hear of all the destruction and lives lost.
Please, keep everyone going through this rough tornado season in your thoughts and prayers!

Very lovely words Virginia, especially when so many are suffering.
Teach me Thy way, O Lord... Amen! and Amen!
Isn't it wonderful that He is always willing to teach us His ways, but sadly we are not always willing to learn :-(
Hi Virginia,
I'm not familiar with the lyrics of this song, but I find them to be so moving:
"When I am sad at heart, teach me Thy way!
When earthly joys depart, teach me Thy way!
In hours of loneliness, in times of dire distress,
In failure or success, teach me Thy way!"
Thank you so much for sharing encouraging words. I'm praying as well for those affected by the tornadoes and flooding.
Blessings and peace.

Beautiful Hymn Virginia
Yes, so many are suffering....we do need to lift them in prayer!
I feel so badly for all the folks who are experiencing the tornadoes and floods. It is very sad to see the devastation to so many lives. I am praying for them. Thank you for the beautiful song.
great message Virginia and me too...seeing all the devestation from the tornadoes breaks my heart. It's horrible to see how people lost everything. Praying for them....
There is so much to be learned in the words of songs. This certainly has an important message. I want the Lord to teach me His ways. Thank you for sharing.
Blessings,
Charlotte
Love the song. It's it a joy to think of the Lord being our teacher? He is -- in the school of grace!
It is difficult to see God's hand in situations like what happened in Joplin. Thank you for sharing the words of this beautiful hymn.
Blessings,
Joan
The suffering have been on my heart too. We pray for the southern states often and today we are experiencing high winds again and it's a reminder of those affected by the tornadoes.
Have a great week!
