When I say ... "I am a Christian"
By: Carol Wimmer
When I say ... "I am a Christian"
I am not shouting "I am saved;"
I am whispering "I get lost"
"That is why I choose this way."
When I say ... "I am a Christian"
I do not speak of this with pride.
I am confessing that I stumble
And need someone to be my guide.
When I say ... "I am a Christian"
I am not trying to be strong.
I am professing that I am weak
And pray for strength to carry on.
When I say ... "I am a Christian"
I am not bragging of success.
I am admitting I have failed
And cannot ever pay the debt.
When I say ... "I am a Christian"
I am not claiming to be perfect.
My flaws are too visible
But God believes I am worth it.
When I say ... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
Which is why I seek His name.
When I say ... "I am a Christian"
I do not wish to judge.
I have no authority
I only know I am loved.

Jesus gave us a wonderful promise.
Jesus promised to send us a most precious gift after his glorification. He said. “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.” (John 16:7)(See also John 7:39).

Pray, Hope, and Don’t Worry!
“Pray, hope, and don’t worry! Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer. Prayer is the best weapon we have; it is the key to God’s heart. You must speak to Jesus not only with your lips but with your heart. In fact, on certain occasions, you should speak to Him only with your heart.”
Saint (Padre) Pio
